What to remove

Why view first

Reading before removing is the useful order

Knowing which field caused a problem tells you whether to clean every file or fix one export setting. If every Lightroom export carries the same marker, changing the preset is less work than cleaning each delivery by hand.

Viewing is also how you check whether a tool worked. Run a cleaned file back through and confirm nothing survived.

  • Diagnose why a platform labelled a specific photo.
  • Confirm whether GPS is present before sharing a file.
  • Check what a client or stock deliverable is about to reveal.
  • Verify that another tool actually removed what it claimed to.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

›Is this metadata viewer free?

Yes, with no account and no limit. The parsing runs on your machine, so there is nothing to meter.

›Does viewing change my file?

No. This page never writes a file and never offers a download. Use the remover if you want to change something.

›Which fields can it show?

EXIF including the GPS directory, XMP, IPTC, C2PA presence, PNG text chunks and ICC profile presence, with the parsed values rather than a yes or no summary.

›Can it view HEIC or RAW files?

Not yet. JPEG, PNG and WebP only. HEIC and AVIF need ISOBMFF parsing, and RAW formats are a much larger job.
